What the role is:
We are seeking a meticulous and process-driven Senior HR Manager to manage the operational aspects of our scholarship programme. This role will focus on ensuring smooth day-to-day scholarship operations, maintaining data integrity, and leading a critical project on Agreement review. This is an individual contributor role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. This is a 1-year contract role.
What you will be working on:
Scholarship Operations Management
- Manage the full scholarship cycle operations ensuring timely processing and compliance with policies.
- Process scholarship payments, allowances, reimbursements, and coordinate flight arrangements for overseas studies in accordance with policy guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for scholarship holders on operational matters including payments, allowances, and administrative queries.
- Monitor scholars' academic progress and compliance with scholarship terms and conditions.
- Coordinate and manage internship placements for scholars, including liaison with departments.
- Manage bond-related administrative matters, including calculations, deferments, and early release requests.
- Lead the deed / contract review independently, including stakeholder management and timeline coordination.
Data Management & Systems Innovation
- Lead comprehensive data cleaning initiatives to ensure accuracy and integrity of all scholarship records and databases.
- Propose and implement optimal data management solutions and structures for scholarship information, leveraging AI tools and Excel capabilities to enhance data accessibility and reporting.
- Evaluate and recommend automation opportunities using AI-powered solutions for data entry, validation, document processing, and analytics.
- Establish robust data governance practices, including quality standards, access controls, and documentation protocols.
- Review and recommend updates to scholarship policies based on data insights and operational experience.
What we are looking for:
Qualifications
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 – 5 years of relevant HR experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to propose and implement technology solutions for data management, with familiarity or strong interest in AI tools for HR operations.
- Strong operational and administrative capabilities with proven experience managing complex processes independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data management and financial processing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation.
- Experience with HRIS systems; prior experience with Workday will be an advantage.
- Experience in scholarship administration or similar HR operational roles would be highly advantageous.
