Job summary

A prominent technology and distribution firm is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support multiple business units with recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. This full-time role requires relevant HR experience and strong communication skills, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Singapore HR laws and a strong service orientation, willing to travel as needed. No sponsorship is available for this position.

Qualifications

Location : On-site Jurong East Singapore.

SCOPE

Under the direction of a HR Business Partner the Senior HR Generalist is accountable for providing support to assigned group(s) in the areas of recruitment employee relations legal compliance performance management benefits administration employee and management coaching. Position will support multiple business units across APAC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment for assigned business units including requisition approvals, managing internal/external job postings, candidate sourcing, pre‑screening, interview coordination with the hiring manager and facilitating all steps of the offer process including background checks.
  • Facilitate onboarding activities such as coordinating with Payroll, signing up for Benefits (as applicable), running New Hire Orientation sessions, and conducting check‑ins with new hires and their managers to ensure successful integration and early engagement.
  • Maintain a positive employee relations environment within group(s) and work proactively to minimise employee‑related problems by providing individual counselling and advice to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Assist in the resolution of workplace issues and conduct preliminary investigations under the guidance of the HR Business Partner.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employment records including but not limited to job changes, promotions, compensation adjustments and supervisory updates.
  • Ensure timely communication of employment changes to stakeholders such as Payroll, Finance and IT throughout the employment life cycle.
  • Prepare employment letters and other employment related documentation as required.
  • Support managers with performance management and corrective action processes ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Coordinate exit interviews with departing employees and share key insights with HR Business Partner and Leadership Team.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for local employee benefits administration (as applicable) in collaboration with Finance and under the guidance of the HR Business Partner.
  • Support various HR initiatives and projects including annual performance review cycle, employee engagement events, data analysis, job description updates, policy reviews and more.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

A minimum of 2‑5 years of professional Human Resources experience is required with experience from distribution or electronics an added plus.

Bachelors Degree in a related field (e.g. Human Resources or Business) is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Singapore laws pertaining to human resources practices and procedures; knowledge of other Asian countries an added plus.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong listening skills.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal / teamwork skills in order to build effective relationships with employees and managers.
  • Possess a strong customer service orientation in order to respond to internal customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Exhibit strong organisational and multi‑tasking skills in order to handle multiple competing priorities and duties (planned and unplanned).
  • English language with professional fluency both written and verbal; knowledge of Mandarin an added plus.
  • A professional level certification from SHRI or IHRP is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed within region.
