Cogent owns one of Singapore's largest one-stop integrated logistics hub, Cogent 1.Logistics Hub. It offers warehousing, freight forwarding, container and ISO tank depot, automotive logistics and transportation services in Singapore. It also operates warehousing and container depot businesses in Malaysia.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Executive - HSE in Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd. He / she will be responsible to assist in managing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the BizSAFE Program, QEHS Certification and support Safety Case Implementation for MHI premises
  • Assist in maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 requirements and follow up actions for closure
  • Participate in and follow up EHS related audits, e.g. Safety Audit on Managing Hazardous Substances, CERT Audit, audit by customers, etc.
  • Conduct safety walks and inspections and follow up with the operations team to close the findings
  • Support the operations team in the inspection of contractor’s work activity and evaluate contractor’s EHS performance; review and approve PTW (e.g. working at heights, lifting, etc.)
  • Prepare reports, presentation and meeting minutes for related EHS meetings, WSH Committee meeting and other EHS related materials.
  • Conduct accident investigation, identify root cause and follow up on the corrective actions
  • Prepare and conduct EHS related trainings/briefings/toolbox meetings and conduct EHS orientations for newly hired staff
  • Organize safety promotion activities such as EHS promotion week and attend customer’s safety campaigns
  • Assist operations to identify and evaluate hazards and review Risk Assessment, and proactively eliminate any risks
  • Provide relevant posters/ videos/ materials relating to safety to operations
  • Review, update and renew Transport Emergency Response Plan and ERP
Requirements
  • Degree or Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or related field of study
  • 2 years relevant experience in EHS
