Job description
Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our Finance team in the donation management & its Accounts Receivable function. This role manages the financial and administrative aspects of donation processing, donation-related financial operations, donor communications, and fundraising event reporting. The Executive ensures accuracy, compliance with Charity governance standards, and timely service delivery.

Role & Responsibilities
1) Donation Management and Reporting & Accounts Receivable
  • Manage Accounts Receivable for donations.
  • Input donations into the Donation Management System and generate official receipts for donors in timely manner while ensuring accuracy recording of donation transactions.
  • Perform donation reconciliation between the Donation Management System, bank statements, and General Ledger (GL).
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity and accurate Donation listings.
  • Partner with Partnership and Engagement team in all donations related matters.
2) Donor Communications and Fundraising Event Reporting
  • Responsible for donor enquiries and responses and ensuring prompt and professional responses to requests for receipts, donation history, and tax documentation.
  • Prepare Income & Expenditure Statements for fundraising events.
  • Track and report donations, sponsorships, and event-related expenses.
  • Support fundraising activities onsite several times in a year, including recording donations raised during events.
3) Month-End Close Support for Centres assigned
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for Centres assigned.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules for Centres assigned to support Centres’ decision-making.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end close.
4) Handle any ad hoc tasks assigned by Management.
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field with 5 years working experience. Similar experience is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good proficiency in ERP systems (preferably ACCPAC/Sage 300).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, with analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
  • Skills: Experience with digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
