Overview
Volunteer Management Executive in our Community Partnership team. You will be the driving force behind our volunteer management efforts. You’ll recruit, train, and engage volunteers who play a vital role in supporting our clients and outreach programmes.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain volunteers.
- Conduct onboarding, orientation, and training sessions for new volunteers.
- Maintain a volunteer database and manage scheduling for events and programmes.
Volunteer Programme Development
- Design and execute volunteer programmes that support GDS’s outreach, fundraising, and client services.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback and recognition.
- Organise appreciation events and initiatives to foster volunteer satisfaction and loyalty.
Community Outreach & Events
- Support planning and execution of community engagement activities, including public education, fundraising events, and corporate partnerships.
- Coordinate volunteer involvement in outreach programmes and ensure smooth operations.
Communications & Content Creation
- Assist in developing volunteer-related content for newsletters, social media, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with the social media team to promote volunteer stories and impact.
Administrative Support
- Handle volunteer-related documentation, reporting, and compliance.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year of experience in volunteer management or community engagement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to engage diverse groups
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with volunteer management systems is a plus
- Creative and resourceful, with a passion for social impact
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends (time off in-lieu provided)
- Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is an advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
