Job description

This senior role is a key addition to the Events & Engagement team, which plays a central part in delivering high-profile events, stakeholder collaborations, and member engagement initiatives.

As part of a lean team, you will take ownership of event design and execution, committee coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with senior executives, including engagement of SGX-listed companies board chairs, to ensure impactful programming and meaningful engagement. Sponsor management is a prerequisite, and knowledge in audit, governance, and regulations would be valuable.

This role is well-suited for someone with strong professional presence, who is effective, engaging, and confident in dealing with senior leaders, while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Committee & Secretariat Support
  • Coordinate and manage committee / chapter meetings, including agenda preparation, logistics, documentation, and minutes
  • Support the Chairs and members to ensure productive discussions and follow-up on action items.
  • Assist to develop annual events, track progress, and report outcomes. an event plans and monitor progress.
2. Events and Member Engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders — from regulators and listed companies to professional bodies and industry partners — to identify needs and co-create impactful programmes relevant to SID.
  • Lead the planning, organisation, and execution of signature events, training programmes, and engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports to improve future programmes.
  • Track and monitor KPIs, budgets, and timelines to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Maintain proper and accurate database records and documentation, event closing reports including claims submission.
3. Communications & Outreach
  • Develop and oversee event and programme communication strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns, event collaterals, and newsletters.
  • Assist in developing engaging content for social media, ensuring visibility and outreach to members and partners including sponsors.
  • Highlight SID’s impact by showcasing success stories and strengthening the Institute’s profile
4. Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Support the Events & Engagement team to refine workflows and strengthen operational processes for efficiency.
  • Contribute to SID’s compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in member engagement and propose improvements.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in any discipline
  • At least 5 years’ experience in event management or training development within an association, professional body, or consultancy firm.
  • Proven ability to engage and build relationships with senior executives, experience with C-suite leaders and board chairs of SGX-listed companies would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with experience managing multiple complex projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and present confidently.
  • Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of event platforms, CRM systems, or digital tools for outreach.
  • Effective and engaging personality to represent SID professionally.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for delivering high-quality engagement and advancing professional standards.
