Qualifications

Job Description

Established in 1905 to educate and train medical professionals for Singapore, the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is a leading medical educational and research institution in Asia. We educate the next generation of doctors and nurses to the highest clinical standards and prepare them to meet tomorrow’s medical challenges competently, compassionately and creatively.

You will support the Office for Students (OfS) in its mission to support undergraduate medical student welfare by creating a nurturing environment of well-being in NUS Medicine. This role also provides administrative support for other ad‑hoc events in OfS, as well as to the admin lead of OfS and Vice Dean, as required.

1. Student Support & Care Management
  • Manage cases of at-risk students to ensure their well‑being is taken care of.
  • Facilitates mental wellness programmes for students to encourage support for self‑care and stress management.
  • Provides advisory service and administrative support for student‑related matters.
  • Providing care and support to affected students after issuance of disciplinary sanctions.
  • Identifies academically weak students, tracks their academic progress and works with relevant parties on remedial programme if required.
  • Manage scholars’ academic performance and contributions to ensure they met the renewal criteria.
  • Manage the exam welfare portfolio.
2. Student Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Oversees financial aid overseas electives allocation and disbursement.
  • Manage and update the financial aid brochure and financial aid related information in various documents.
  • Manage applications and disbursement for transport subsidy.
  • Vetting of Thank You letters submitted by financial aid recipients.
  • Manage the yearly financial aid allocation and disbursement in collaboration with Office of Financial Aid.
3. Management of disciplinary cases
  • Supports the student conduct and disciplinary committee, until a new hire is appointed.
  • Facilitates the investigation process of disciplinary offences.
  • Oversees the writing of outcome reports for all stakeholders concerned.
  • Provides support to students undergoing disciplinary proceedings.
4. Graduate Support Services
  • Involves in the credential verification and attestation of medical graduates’ documents.
  • Co‑facilitates PGY1 orientation with MOHH.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong interest in mentoring and guiding students.
