RESPONSIBILITIES

MINDS Clinic is a service provided under the umbrella of MINDS Community-Based Support Services (CSS). CSS is the dynamic and nimble service delivery arm in MINDS that responds to emerging needs of PWIDs and Caregivers in the community. Its core vision is to serve the unserved and underserved and to enhance integration and community living of caregivers and PWIDs in the communities.

Developmental Disability Nursing at MINDS Clinic plays a pivotal role in the care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages to achieve optimal health outcomes. The key role of the Enrolled Nurse is to focus on the promotion of health and wellness, prevention of illness, and care for clients in the community. He/She will report to Head of Health Services and will work alongside Clinic Doctors to provide support to both clinic staff and clients.

He/she will contribute towards achieving MINDS Clinic Vision's goal of being the Developmental and Intellectual Disability Clinic of Excellence, bridging prevailing social medical gaps so that PWIDS can receive effective healthcare management throughout their lifespan.

Clerical and Administrative Support
  • Attend to clients courteously upholding quality service standard
  • Perform triage and registration
  • Responsible for front-desk duties such as appointments, billing and payment collection, handle enquiries (email/phone/walk‑in)
  • Perform insurance/Medisave claims submission and verification of particulars and limits in various claims portal
  • Chaperone doctor/clients for patient examination
  • Coordinate staff meetings as and when required
  • Any other duties as assigned
Clinical Support
  • Ensure client is safe during procedure and assist doctors whenever necessary
  • Provide quality nursing care, nursing procedures, and ensure client general comfort
  • Coordinate individualised and group learning programmes with patients/caregivers
  • Communicate treatment plan with patients/families
  • Assist in the Clinic's specialist screening/vaccination programmes
  • Support training workshops, whenever required
