Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to coordinate with construction teams and oversee design development for various infrastructure projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, strong analytical skills, and a minimum of 5 years experience, particularly in LTA projects. Candidates with experience in design and drafting software and knowledge of relevant standards are preferred. This position involves substantial responsibility in planning and approving civil work.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of Traffic Diversion and authority approval procedures.

Roles & responsibilities

• Coordination with Construction team/ Design Consultant/PE/construction subcontractor, etc. for Detail Design Development.
• Carryout detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works.
• Prepare design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions.
• Planning relevant temporary civil structure, plan & section required for the Traffic diversion, such as Drain diversion, Retaining wall, shop drawing development.
• Review and planning for ERSS system for Underground structure using Diaphragm wall such as KP, Decking, Strutting, decking, etc.
• Check/Rectification of all the structural drawing/ shop drawing if required.

Requirements and relevant experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree of Civil Engineering or close discipline from a recognized Institution.
• Strong engineering fundamental and analytical skills in geotechnical and structural analysis and design works is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the application of design and drafting software.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil and Structural Engineering especially for LTA Project.
• Be well‑aware of Traffic Diversion, Temp. Drain Diversion, and authority approval procedure.
• Be well‑aware of Underground Structure/Construction Sequences and related civil design works.
• Be well‑aware of Eurocode, LTA CDC, and relevant design specification/standards.
• Candidates who has experience as CS engineer (Design) in D&B contractor side would be an advantage.
