This role requires over 5 years of experience in data and business intelligence, strong proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and Python, as well as the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences. In this position, you will analyze datasets, develop PowerBI dashboards, and act as a point-of-contact for PowerBI-related requests. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

The Opportunity

The Senior Data Analyst (PowerBI) position is a part of the Global IT Department, which is directly overseen by the Group’s CIO. Our team currently comprises of over 40 IT, software, and dataprofessionals primarily based in Shanghai and Moerdijk (the Netherlands). With our IT presence in Singapore rapidly expanding, we are excited to invite you to join our team!

Job Responsibilities

• Use SQL + Python and statistical techniques to analyze historical datasets, uncover trends, detect anomalies, and support data-driven decision‑making.
• Design and develop PowerBI dashboards, semantic models, and KPI definitions that serve global business needs across operations, finance, and commercial functions.
• Act as a lead point‑of‑contact for PowerBI‑related requests from senior stakeholders; translate vague business questions into clearly scoped data work.
• Drive the continual improvement of our internal data models through collaboration with data engineering (Azure Databricks).
• Proactively identify opportunities for dashboard consolidation, self‑service analytics, and improved user experience.
• Maintain strong documentation practices and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data/BI roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and Python
• Comfortable communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences; able to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to effectively liaise with Chinese‑speaking counterparts.

Desirable Qualities

• Experience with Azure and Databricks
• Interest/Experience in container shipping, freight forwarding, or maritime logistics
• Experience in dashboard standardization, version control, or user training initiatives
