Overview

Title: Senior Category Manager, Technology Procurement

Location: Singapore

About the Role:

Our client is an SGX listed company and a market leader in their sector. They have diversified business and have expanded internationally. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Category Manager, Technology Procurement to be part of the Global Procurement organization.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop Information Technology procurement strategies, including preparing, negotiating, and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to maximize value and increase savings.
• Lead global supplier development initiatives to strengthen partnerships and drive continuous improvement.
• Execute procurement strategies by managing the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective category management and strategic sourcing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to optimize supplier performance and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8-10 years experience in a Procurement / Strategic Sourcing roles, preferably in IT or ICT related categories
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing procurement strategies to drive savings and improve profitability.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a deep understanding of supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, with a solid understanding of procurement best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
