Job description
About Innowave Tech Singapore

We build AI-driven automation software for semiconductor and advanced‑manufacturing industries. Our strength lies in deep industrial domain expertise combined with cutting‑edge AI and software engineering to solve complex factory problems.

Your Mission

You’re not here to just write code—you’re here to think deeply, attack challenges from all angles, and deliver elegant, high‑impact solutions using any technology necessary. You’ll own end‑to‑end design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation systems that move the needle in semiconductor fabs.

What You’ll Do
Deep Problem Solving & Architecture
  • Proactively break down ambiguous manufacturing problems and propose multiple technical approaches.
  • Architect modular, scalable solutions that can adapt to evolving shop‑floor requirements.
  • Keep algorithmic considerations in mind and collaborate closely with data scientists and computer‑vision engineers to integrate advanced analytics or control logic as needed.
Core Development
  • Mastery in Python (3.x), leveraging frameworks/tech like asyncio, multithreading, and functional programming.
  • Build clean, well‑documented code with strong OOP and design‑pattern best practices.
System Integration & Deployment
  • Interface with industrial equipment (via REST, Websocket, MQTT or custom protocols).
  • Containerize with Docker; collaborate on Git for reliable releases.
AI & Automation Tools
  • Integrate or fine‑tune LLMs and agentic AI agents to automate complex decision workflows (optional).
  • Develop retrieval‑augmented systems, effective prompt strategies, or rule‑based fallbacks as needed.
Quality & Testing
  • Create exhaustive unit/integration tests and simulation environments to validate automation logic.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with clear root‑cause analyses and corrective solutions.
What We’re Looking For
Must‑Haves
  1. Deep thinker & problem solver – thrive in uncertainty, ask tough questions, and drive solutions through to completion.
  2. Python & tech‑stack mastery – at least 3 years professional experience in Python, plus familiarity with related ecosystems (e.g. Git, Docker, RPA tools).
  3. Collaborative analytical mindset – understand basics of data processing and computer‑vision workflows, and can partner effectively with data‑science or CV teams to bring algorithmic components into production.
Nice‑to‑Have
  1. Hands‑on experience in semiconductor or industrial automation environments.
  2. Knowledge of virtualization/KVM, RPA frameworks, or real‑time control systems.
  3. Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) or LLM fine‑tuning.
  4. Background in regulated environments.
Education and Background Requirements
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or any related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in software development, primarily using Python.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • High‑impact projects: tackle real factory challenges that directly improve yield and throughput.
  • Autonomy & ownership: you call the shots on technology choices—no micromanagement.
  • Collaborative culture: work alongside AI researchers, automation engineers, and fab experts.
  • Growth & leadership: clear pathways from individual contributor to technical lead or architect roles.
