A leading energy consultancy in Singapore seeks a senior analyst to spearhead research in APAC natural gas markets. You will manage a team, analyze commodities, and engage clients. Ideal candidates have at least four years of relevant experience and exceptional communication skills. The role offers opportunities for significant influence in the energy sector with a focus on strategic decision-making and product development.
Based in Singapore, you will be a senior member of Aurora’s Global Energy Markets (gas, oil, and coal) team. The Global Energy Markets team produces Aurora’s central outlook and scenarios for the development of gas, oil, and coal markets, which underpin Aurora’s analysis of power markets.
You will focus on Asia Pacific (APAC) commodities markets, in addition to broader analysis of global markets, with a focus on generation fuels like natural gas and thermal coal. You will play a critical role in all aspects of product delivery and development, as well as client engagement, and represent the company externally. You will direct our research in APAC commodities markets, deliver existing publications, conduct novel analysis, identify client business opportunities, and develop new services. Although the role is based in our Research team, the successful applicant will also play a role in supporting projects undertaken in our Advisory team — which in the past has included transactions and strategic advisory assignments.
The position suits experienced analysts or consultants from top-tier strategic or economic consultancies, energy companies, financial services companies, or knowledge-driven firms or institutions. Prior experience in natural gas is essential. You will report to the Research Lead based in Oxford, manage a team of analysts, and work within Aurora’s larger Research team, spread across multiple offices.
