Job summary

A leading event management company is looking for an accountant in Singapore to provide crucial support to the Concerts division. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 5 years of experience in finance roles, and be bilingual in English and Mandarin. Responsibilities include preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating across departments. Job description

This role will provide accounting support to our event businesses in Singapore, with focus on Concerts division.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of month end pack and reports to regional finance team
  • Preparation of various reports and analysis as required to provide value add assistance to the business
  • Data entry to accounting system
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support operational activities
  • Enter payment details into online banking systems after all approvals are obtained as per SOA
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with global internal control and US SOX regulations
  • Preparation of concert/tour settlements and be on site for concerts under his responsibility
  • Placement of shows related insurance
  • Project reconciliation
  • Prepare and filing of withholding tax, GST and other tax matters
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and IFRS
  • Assist in office admin matters on ad hoc basis
  • Other varied accounts duties to support the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Xero and Oracle is a plus.
