Job description
Summary

Provides support to Security Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Security Department including:

  • Protection of guests / colleagues and property against crime, violence and other hazards and force securing classified information.
  • Responsible for all aspect of Security & Work Safety within the Hotel and its perimeter.
  • To carry out all Hotel Security and Safety Operation, special events and emergency responds.
  • Actively involved in Hotel Security and Safety programs.
  • Supervise subordinates and responsible for their conduct, work standards and proper execution of duties in the operation.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform security patrols, rounds, visits of specific areas, screening and surveillance
  • Ensure maximum Security & Safety coverages for guests, employees and hotel at all times Fully knowledge on Departmental and operational policies and procedures. Accountable for subordinates’ duty assignment and work schedules. Accountable for subordinate full compliance to work ethic, high standard and proper conduct.
  • Responsible for the proper training and coaching and the appropriate motivating and counseling of subordinate.
  • Responsible for initiating investigation, carry out follow up and putting up the appropriate reports on any security, safety and fire safety related occurrence and complaint.
  • Report, follow up, resolve and keep Security Manager or his deputy posted on any discrepancies, deviation of work standards, policies and procedures.
  • Exemplary in conduct and deportment for subordinate to emulate.
  • Carry out departmental administrative functions and duties
  • Ensure all Security Equipment are in working order and report any defect. (CCTV Surveillance System, Fire Alarm System, Master keys & VingCard System, Lift Supervisory Panel check etc)
  • Attend hotel operation briefing in the absence of Security Manager.
  • Conduct daily security operation briefing.
  • Check all equipment's, tools and operating system.
  • Schedule and assign subordinates for security patrols, round and visits of specific areas.
  • Report all activities that are detrimental to the Department and Hotel that are able to endanger life or property and go against the Hotel policy and procedures.
  • Verify and register particulars of colleagues, contractors, service agents, vendors and visitors coming in and out of the Hotel.
  • Communicate and follow up all security request, messages, complaint and calls.
  • Update reports, registers, files and carry out administrative duties as instructed.
  • Night room checks and Keys Audit.
  • To complete preliminary investigation report of security related cases occurred during the tour of duty.
  • To brief and update Security Manager or his deputy on all incident or matters arise during operation.
  • Check, update and follow up all matter related to Workplace Safety and Health.
  • Participate in Fire Alarm Emergency Response Drill
  • Update subordinates on their appraisals report, provide counseling, guidance and motivation as appropriate.
  • Conduct appropriate OJT training for team member as to execute the daily operation.
  • Is a team player and helps other hotel departments when operation requires it.
