Qualifications

Design, plan, perform, interpret and report scientific experiments to contribute to overall MS&T strategies and objectives.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead / participate in tech transfer of products from Novartis network / external customer to MS&T DSP Laboratory. Participate in tech transfer activities from laboratory to commercial scale, support validation activities.
  • Design, plan and execute small and pilot scale studies to support technical transfer or lifecycle management projects for downstream processes.
  • Design, plan and execute DSP process development, characterization, and optimization studies.
  • Prepare and maintain lab instructions, evaluate new equipment and technologies.
  • Support qualification and calibration of lab / pilot equipment with accompanying change control, documentation, schedule, and maintenance.
  • Support procurement and inventory management of chemicals and consumables for lab studies.
  • Lead / participate in continuous improvement projects related to MS&T Laboratory.
  • Support execution of MS&T Upstream and Analytics Laboratory activities as required.
  • Comply with applicable GxP regulations, SOPs, HSE & other Novartis Guidelines in the laboratory. Maintain up-to-date documentation of laboratory work carried out including documentation storage and archiving.
Essential Requirements
  • University degree (BSc, MSc) in Chemistry, Biologics, Pharma / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 - 8 years of DSP experience in biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Downstream purification knowledge and hands-on experience in laboratory.
