Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of SAP systems, as well as supporting underlying infrastructure and ensuring system reliability. This is a full-time onsite role based in the Alexandra area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, administration, and monitoring of SAP systems (SAP NetWeaver, SAP ECC, SAP Solution Manager).
• Manage databases such as SAP HANA, Sybase ASE, and SAP IQ.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including system hardening.
• Support Microsoft applications (Active Directory, System Center Suite).
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and monitoring/management tools (SCCM, WSUS, SEPM, SCVMM).
• Handle storage and backup operations, including Symantec NetBackup.
• Configure and maintain web tools such as F5 Load Balancer, Proxy/Reverse Proxy setups, Apache, IIS, and SAP Web Dispatcher.
• Perform SAP system cloning/copy (Heterogeneous/Homogeneous), transport management, and backup/restore procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide high‑quality deliverables and support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of working experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems implementation, and support.
• Hands‑on experience in SAP system client copies, cloning/copy (Heterogeneous/Homogeneous), user account management, transport management, patch management, and system backup/restore.
• Strong knowledge of SAP platform installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and Linux administration is preferred.
• Strong planning, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while being a proactive and collaborative team player.
