Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to grow and manage our sales channel through electrical and low-voltage contractors. This individual will play a crucial role in building relationships, driving specifications, and executing sales strategies that increase adoption of ABB, Lutron and Steinel smart sensors and lighting controls in commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting electrical contractors, low-voltage contractors, and integrators to drive business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including project managers, estimators, and business owners to influence project outcomes
  • Deliver product presentations, technical trainings, and job-site consultations to facilitate adoption and proper installation of Steinel sensor and lighting control systems
  • Track contractor sales pipelines and actively influence project specifications to ensure successful purchase and installation of products
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency by learning and effectively presenting sensor, lighting, and control technologies to support sales efforts
  • Apply negotiation and communication skills to close sales and expand market share within assigned territory
  • Take initiative and ownership of sales targets and territory management to achieve measurable business results
Required competencies and certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the electrical, lighting, or building automation industry with a focus on contractor engagement
  • Proven ability to build and manage contractor relationships in territory-based or national sales roles
  • In-depth knowledge of construction sales cycles, project bidding processes, and contractor decision-making dynamics
