Job summary

A leading HR management firm in Singapore is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive sales performance in the Electrical & Semi-conductor sector. The candidate should have at least 2 years of technical sales experience, preferably in capital equipment sales. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and monitoring market trends. Candidates should possess strong presentation and negotiation skills, and hold a degree in engineering. This role offers a competitive salary of $4k to $6.5k.

Job description
A. Sales Engineer (Electrical & Semi-conductor Sector)

Location: Tradehub 21 (5 days work week)

Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales performance to achieve sales target (AOP) across assigned and new accounts, solutions, products (ie. electronics assembly products) and services
  • Manage and work closely with stakeholders in assigned countries to achieve sales growth, market share and margins.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders (ie. customers, principals, vendors, etc.) to enhance customer experience and optimize sales efforts.
  • Conduct evaluation for system, parts and materials with customers
  • Possess drive, initiative and attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured.
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of company strategies, policies, tools, and processes at the local level in alignment with global standards.
  • Contribute to building the company’s market awareness and leadership position through customer‑centric and strategic engagement.
Requirements:
  • Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics)
  • Minimum 2 years technical sales experience, preferably capital equipment sales to Electronics and Semiconductor industries
  • Possess good presentation, negotiation, planning and coordination skills
  • Possess a valid class 3 license with own vehicle
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and in a team environment
B. Sales Engineer at Toa Payoh Area ($4k to $6.5k)
1. Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and sell Switch Mode Power Supplies, AC Sources, DC Programmable Power Supplies, and related solutions.
  • Identify and develop new customers in industries such as electronics manufacturing, R&D labs, automation, EV, renewable energy, and testing facilities.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals.
2. Technical Support (Pre‑Sales)
  • Understand customer applications and technical requirements.
  • Recommend suitable products and configurations based on specifications (voltage, current, power rating, load type, etc.).
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Support customers with product selection, system integration, and application guidance.
3. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build long‑term relationships with customers, system integrators, and distributors.
  • Act as the main technical and commercial contact point for customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, RFQs, and tenders efficiently.
4. After‑Sales & Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, service) to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Assist customers with basic troubleshooting and liaise with service teams when necessary.
  • Gather customer feedback and market information for continuous product improvement.
5. Market & Product Intelligence
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and market demand to product management.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars when required.
Job Requirements
  1. Education
  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Min. 2 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or sales engineering.
  • Experience with power supplies, test & measurement equipment, industrial electronics, or similar products is an advantage.
  • Must have basic understanding of Power electronics and electrical specifications,/DC power systems, AC sources, DC programmable power supplies (preferred)

Ability to read datasheets, block diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
