Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to spearhead our business development efforts in the electrical engineering sector. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening client relationships. You will lead the end-to-end sales process — from strategy and opportunity identification to proposal management, negotiation, and closure.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical or M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) sales, deep knowledge of Singapore’s construction and infrastructure market, and the ability to combine technical understanding with strategic commercial thinking.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop, implement, and refine sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the company’s market share.
- Identify and penetrate new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, government, and infrastructure sectors.
2. Client Acquisition & Retention
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
- Establish partnerships with consultants, main contractors, developers, and public agencies.
3. Tendering & Proposal Management
- Lead the preparation and submission of quotations, proposals, and public-sector tenders (GeBIZ).
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, competitive, and meet client requirements.
4. Sales Performance & Reporting
- Maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and regular reporting to management.
- Define, track, and achieve KPIs aligned with company growth objectives.
5. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on market opportunities and potential risks.
6. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with project delivery and technical teams to ensure seamless handover of projects after sale.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance sales culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in electrical engineering or M&E industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore’s public-sector tendering process and platforms (e.g., GeBIZ) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a consultative approach.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
- Possession of a valid Class 3/3A driving licence will be an advantage.
