Job summary

A retail company in Singapore is looking for a Sales Assistant/ Store Associate to provide excellent customer service and assist in daily store operations. Responsibilities include welcoming customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness. Candidates should possess good communication skills and be detail-oriented, with a minimum education level of Nitec or higher. Previous retail experience is advantageous but not mandatory. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Assist with inventory counts and tagging new items.

Position Title: Sales Assistant/ Store Associate

Working Location: Temple Street

Working Hours: 5-6 days (Monday-Friday & Alt Saturday, 9.00am – 6.00pm)

Salary Package: Basic Salary + Commission + PB

Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly welcome customers and deliver good customer service.
  • Help customers locate products, respond to questions, and provide product recommendations.
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately across various forms of payment.
  • Keep the sales floor and cashier area clean and well organized.
  • Stock and replenish merchandise on shelves and displays as needed.
  • Support inventory counts and tag new merchandise.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, promotions, and store policies.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous retail or cashiering experience is an advantage but not required, training is provided.
  • Minimum Nitec or higher.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
  • Positive attitude with a team-player mindset.
  • Willing to work on Saturdays.
