Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team as a Safety Executive, where your expertise will contribute to fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role offers the opportunity to develop training programs and engage with various stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and welfare regulations, including PPE requirements.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to enhance employee awareness of environmental and safety practices regularly.
- Coordinate internal and external audits while maintaining EHS documentation for ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications.
- Investigate and effectively resolve EHS incidents and accidents.
- Conduct EHS inductions for contractors and visitors as needed.
- Guide contractors and sub-contractors in complying with safety regulations during their operations.
- Prepare and submit safety reports monthly, adhering to site and regional requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and review risk assessments per current Workplace Safety and Health Act requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health and Environmental Control regulations.
- Conduct monthly Workplace Safety and Health inspections alongside external consultants, ensuring follow-up on any findings.
- Analyze and provide statistics on safety gaps and areas for improvement based on safety standards.
- Maintain the Emergency Response Plan in accordance with regulatory requirements, including fire safety and CERT team structures.
- Address daily operational activities in an industrial setting, attending to inquiries and complaints related to Workplace Safety and Health inspections.
- Ensure fire safety equipment is maintained per regulations.
- Support new customer inquiries, including warehouse setup requirements.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning services.
- Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or professional certification in Workplace Safety and Health.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience and possession of FSM certification and Biz Safety Level 2.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower is preferred.
- Manage Work at Height Certificate (Assessor/Manager) is preferred.
- Familiarity with local regulations related to Workplace Safety and Health, SCDF, and NEA is advantageous.
