Job title: Safety Officer

Job scope:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant workplace and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of terminal areas, equipment, and work practices to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires to promote a strong safety-first culture from the start.
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments for various port operations and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in workplace safety.
