  • Safety Coordinator – Duties and Responsibilities (Office + Site)
  • 1. Safety Management & Compliance
  • Ensure all safety policies, procedures and local regulations (MOM/WSH Singapore) are followed.

    Assist in developing, updating and implementing Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) programs.

    Maintain company safety manuals, safety records, and documentation.

    Prepare and update risk assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).

  • 2. Site Coordination
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety walkdowns.

    Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and recommend corrective actions.

    Ensure subcontractors and workers follow site safety rules.

    Report and follow up on any safety violations or unsafe conditions.

  • 3. Training & Communication
  • Plan and conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.

    Arrange safety trainings, certifications, and refreshers for workers.

    Communicate safety policies to all staff and ensure understanding.

  • 4. Incident & Accident Investigation
  • Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near misses.

    Prepare incident investigation reports and root-cause analysis (RCA).

    Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • 5. Administration & Documentation (Office Duties)
  • Maintain safety files, permits, checklists, and inspection records.

    Prepare monthly safety reports for management.

    Coordinate safety audits, MOM inspections, ISO and client audits.

    Ensure all safety equipment (PPE, extinguishers, first aid kits) are tracked and updated.

  • 6. Project Support
  • Assist Project Manager in meeting safety requirements of clients.

    Review method of statements and ensure safety compliance.

    Support tender submissions with required safety documents (if needed).

  • 7. General Responsibilities
  • Promote safety culture within the company.

    Assist with emergency response planning.

    Communicate with external auditors, clients, and authorities when required.
