Job summary

An international chemical trading and investment MNC seeks a Risk Management Executive in Singapore to oversee risk mitigation and ensure compliance with regulations. This new role involves working cross-functionally to identify and assess risks while implementing compliance programs that align with local and international standards. Overview

Our client is an international chemical trading and investment MNC backed by a blue‑chip parent co which is stable and established. It is based in town (right next to a MRT station). For this you will report to the Deputy Head, Finance and Accounting (who then reports to the CFO).

  • WFO arrangement: around 2 to 3 days per week after probation clearance.
  • Flexi time work arrangement in a day (start earlier/later and end earlier/later accordingly).
Role

This is a new position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization from financial, operational, and reputational risks while ensuring all business activities comply with local and international trade regulations. This executive will work cross‑functionally to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, as well as implement and monitor compliance programs that adhere to applicable laws and industry standards.

Requirements
  • At least Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Around 2 to 5 years’ experience in risk management, trade compliance, or a related field. Experience in trading industry will be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including US OFAC sanction regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic experience in IT systems and support, and good understanding with MS Office applications.
  • Ensure accuracy of reports and good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Ability to multi‑task and able to work well as a team member.
  • Willing to learn with a positive attitude.
