Job description

We are seeking for a Retail Assistant for our client, you will be the face of their store, delivering excellent customer service, operating the cashier counter, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and tidy. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting store operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer product-related questions and offer recommendations
  • Support promotional campaigns and upselling where appropriate
Cashiering Duties
  • Operate POS system and handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately
  • Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy
  • Ensure proper cash balancing at the end of the shift
Store Operations
  • Replenish and arrange merchandise on shelves according to planogram
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in stocktaking activities
  • Check product expiry dates and ensure items are well-labeled and in good condition
Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all in-store SOPs and adhere to company policies
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum Secondary education or equivalent
  • Prior retail or cashiering experience preferred (training provided)
