A hospitality firm in Singapore seeks an HR professional to manage recruitment, maintain employee records, and oversee payroll processes. This role involves collaboration with restaurant managers to ensure compliance with labor laws and effective staff management. Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor's degree and possess 1-4 years of HR experience, particularly in the restaurant industry. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Handle end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding restaurant staff (chefs, servers, kitchen staff, supervisors).
Maintain employee records, contracts, attendance, and leave data.
Coordinate staff scheduling support and manpower planning with restaurant managers.
Assist in payroll preparation, salary processing, and benefits administration.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance documentation.
Support training programs, inductions, and staff development initiatives.
Monitor staff turnover and assist with retention strategies.
Manage office administration, filing systems, and documentation.
Handle licenses, permits, renewals, and statutory records related to restaurant operations.
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and government offices when required.
Prepare HR and administrative reports for management.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
Assist in policy drafting and implementation.
Maintain confidentiality of HR and business information at all times.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
1–4 years of experience in HR and administration (restaurant or hospitality industry preferred).
Experience handling frontline staff recruitment is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Good organizational and time‑management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, email).
Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Experience in hospitality or food & beverage industry.
Familiarity with payroll systems and attendance software.
Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
