Job summary

An engineering consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified professional to oversee M&E supervision. Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide standing supervision as directed by the Senior Resident Engineer, Resident Engineer, Consultant, or client teams.
  • Proactively identify and resolve M&E-related issues, proposing effective solutions and implementing corrective measures to ensure full compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend daily site progress meetings and participate in joint site walks with clients and contractors.
  • Inspect all M&E materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with approved material submissions.
  • Review Testing & Commissioning (T&C) plans and witness M&E testing activities on-site and at factories when required.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections for high-voltage electrical panels, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) panels, and related equipment prior to site delivery.
  • Perform electrical relay testing, primary injection testing of HT panels, and VSD load testing from 0% to 100%.
  • Witness Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning of VFDs, MCCs, and other electrical systems.
  • Inspect induction motor drive installations and verify operational output parameters.
  • Conduct FM200 fire suppression system checks prior to RI inspections.
  • Perform testing and commissioning for addressable fire alarm systems.
  • Evaluate mechanical ventilation (MV) system testing to confirm compliance with design criteria, including combined services tests under fire mode activation.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all M&E works, inspections, correspondence, and ensure proper upkeep of as-built installation records.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E supervision or related fields.
  • Good working knowledge of local building regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts as required by project operations.
  • Experience with DSTA, LTA, CAG and Commercial projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
