Overview

You are part of the multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care in the cardiothoracic surgical specialty. You will be involved in both outpatient and inpatient areas, assisting in invasive and non-invasive investigations and procedures. You will also assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day patient care within the cardiothoracic surgical specialty, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assist in invasive and non-invasive investigations and procedures.
• Assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Requirements

• Basic Medical Degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Relevant and recognised postgraduate qualification.
• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable).
• Prior experience in an acute hospital setting is essential.
• Strong interest and/or credentials in research would be an advantage.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Documented proof of:
  • Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity.
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
    • Applicants without these vaccinations may apply if they commit to completing the required vaccination(s) before work commencement, upon successful job offer.
