Job description

Location: Central

Commencement: March 2026

Responsibilities
  • Supervision of civil and building structural works according to project specifications, drawings, and Building Control Act.
  • Manage Resident Technical Officers in supervising various aspects of the project, including architecture, structure, M&E and landscape related works;
  • Validating of overtime requisitions and supervising temporary works, if necessary.
  • Maintain record-keeping, monitoring of construction schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and attending project-related meetings.
  • Supervision of demolition works such as left in sheet piles, existing basement walls / pilecaps / flat slab and drop panels / driven piles / etc.
  • Supervision of top-down construction with deep excavation and ERSS works such as CBP or SBP wall with steel strutting, bored piling works, LSS, etc
  • Experience in steel construction such as kingposts / steel columns / steel beams with metal decking / steel staircases / steel trusses / etc.
  • Experience in supervision of post-tensioned beams.
  • Inspection / Supervision of sample tests for materials / workmanship / overseas fabrication yard inspection / etc.
  • Attending Client/Consultant's site meeting and technical meeting if required by Client / Consultant.
  • In the event of defect and non-conformance, to inform Consultant promptly and issuance of instruction to the Main Contractor for testing or investigation work and prepare defect lists if necessary;
  • Regularly report to the Architect / Engineer and Owner's Project Manager on all relevant matters;
  • Inspection of façade related work, waterproofing, Architectural finishes, supervise specialist items such as balustrades and structural steel works.
  • Check Architectural and ID works, and intent of design details are followed. To notify Architect of any design intent conflicts and quality variations, illegal works.
  • To take instruction and provide necessary support to Owner’s representative.
  • To work closely with Project QP and Client’s appointed QA/QC engineer to ensure the quality of works as carried out by the Contractor is satisfactory.
  • Monitoring builder’s site management.
Requirements
  • Possess relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree from a recognized University and Registered with IES-ACES Joint accreditation Committee ( JAC ) as Resident Engineer.
  • Minimum 12 years or more with relevant experience of mixed development projects that comprises of Grade A office, retail space, museum and theatre.
  • Experience in demolition works, top down construction, deep excavation involving ERSS works such as CBP or SBP wall, strutting, bored piling works, prestressed concrete and structural steel-works are preferred.
  • Experience in architectural and ID related works such as façade, dry lay, mock-ups, water tightness and defects inspection.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel;
  • Good supervisory and leadership skills;
  • Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels.
