Job summary

A tech company in Singapore is seeking a passionate Research Scientist to drive research in Intelligent Robotics. The ideal candidate will work on developing algorithms and systems that enhance robot autonomy and solve real-world industrial challenges. Requirements include a PhD in relevant fields, proficiency in programming (Python/C++) and AI frameworks, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. This is a 36-month contract position located in Bounavista.

We are seeking passionate and highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team and drive cutting-edge research in the field of Intelligent Robotics. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of robot systems and algorithms that leverage AI and machine learning to enhance autonomous capabilities, and deploy solutions in various real-world industrial applications such as manufacturing, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on robotics foundation model, vision-language-action model, imitation learning, perception, and planning to develop intelligent robotic systems capable of autonomous tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the integration of AI-driven robotics into real-world industrial applications.
  • Support and contribute to the development of technical roadmap, initiate new research ideas for proposal preparation.
  • Work on interdisciplinary projects with other research scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of robotics.
Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or relevant discipline, and good track record and research experience in robotics, computer vision, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new areas of research and technology.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++, or AI and robot frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, ROS, etc)
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience on real-world robot manipulation is an advance.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with 3D simulation tools (such as Gazebo, Issac Sim).
