Research Assistant (Full time)

Appointment period: 1 year

Job Description

A full-time Research Assistant position in the team led by Dr Darryl Ang is available at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. The selected candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator in the research projects relating to death conversations and advance care planning.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to further their experience in research with a view to a Master’s and/or PhD with the Principal Investigator.

Appointment will be made on a 12-month contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension, depending on the project commitments and candidate’s career objectives.

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

  1. oversee the general management of the project
  2. provide administrative and other support to the project
  3. conduct systematic reviews
  4. conduct data entry and data analyses
  5. assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project
  6. work on other tasks as assigned
Qualifications

The applicant should:

  1. have a degree in nursing, health science, psychology or sociology background
  2. have knowledge of computer and data analysis applications (such as SPSS and MS Office)
  3. have good communication skills with colleagues and fluency in English
  4. have experience in the process of conducting research projects will be an added advantage

Application

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in research and project management.
