Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Research Support Activities
- Support investigators in basic research study activities such as screening, recruitment, and data collection
- Assist with specimen collection and follow-up visits under supervision
- Help maintain source documentation and subject logs
- Support compliance with study protocols and standard operating procedures
- Data Management and Documentation
- Assist with administering study questionnaires and structured interviews
- Support data entry into study databases
- Help prepare documentation for site monitoring visits and audits
- Assist in maintaining study files and research records
- Learn and support documentation processes using Epic and ECOS systems
- Administrative and Coordination Support
- Provide general administrative support to research projects
- Attend to basic administrative work necessary to support the department
- Assist with taking meeting minutes
- Support coordination of research-related meetings within TTSH and collaborative institutions
- Help with preparation of basic reports and administrative documentation
- Budget and Compliance Support
- Assist investigators with basic project expenditure tracking
- Support preparation of simple financial reports to grant bodies
- Help with renewal of ethics approvals documentation
- Assist with submission of reportable events to the Institutional Review Board
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Diploma in Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or related healthcare field
Essential Skills and Experience
- Good communication and basic analytical skills
- Ability to converse in English and Mandarin or local dialects
- Previous experience in healthcare or research environments (preferred but not essential)
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple research activities simultaneously
Technical Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Willingness to learn database management systems
- Ability to learn Epic and ECOS documentation systems
- Adaptability to new software and electronic systems
Contract Terms
- Short-term part-time position from November 2025 to January 2026
