Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS): HID PACS offers advanced readers, credentials, controllers, and mobile/biometric technologies to protect spaces worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the product strategy for HID Global’s physical access control solutions (PACS) readers.
- Define market requirements and business opportunities; own the high‑level product roadmap and be accountable for its execution.
- Act as the voice of the customer (partner and end user) to product management, cloud services, and other stakeholders.
- Collect, analyze, and report on needs and trends based on end‑user and channel surveys as well as competitive and industry analysis.
- Educate the organization on reader products and serve as the center of competency for market knowledge, sizing, and customer profiles.
- Strategize and define decision criteria for prospects, channels, and end users to position HID readers against competition.
- Define, implement, and evolve pricing strategy for reader products.
- Develop product data suitable for promotion through various channels.
- Develop and execute successful new reader product launch programs with assets ready that include target markets, positioning, competitive analysis, collaterals, white papers, training, presentations, pricing, and promotion.
- Analyze and understand the longer‑term market direction and influence external analysts to adopt and value HID Global’s direction.
- Lead key relationships within the physical access control market to stay abreast of standards, policies, and technology adoption.
- Review and report regularly on segment and geographical business performance, advising the organization on improvement initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
- Generate and implement channel strategies with the sales and marketing organization, including pricing and discount strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline.
- Equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience in related roles.
- Proven ability to successfully launch products and services on a global basis.
- Strong expertise in physical security and access control systems.
- Experience operating in a product development team using SAFe for Lean Enterprises methodology.
- Proven capability of cross‑functional collaboration and consensus building.
- Decisive, open to new ideas, and self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Data‑driven and analysis oriented.
- Comfortable managing constructive change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, and informed risk taking.
