Regional Treasurer – APAC

Job Description

The Regional Treasurer will lead the Treasury team across APAC, delivering strategy, operations and risk management in the Singapore and Tokyo offices. The role is accountable for the regional banking strategy, liquidity optimisation, multi‑currency processing, settlement and payout, FX risk mitigation and funding. It also shapes APAC product road‑maps and aligns local Treasury operations with global treasury policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategy, direction and oversight for all Treasury activities across APAC within the Group framework
  • Act as the senior contact and escalation point for senior management and regional stakeholders
  • Chair the APAC ALCO, represent Treasury in the APAC Risk Committee and provide regular updates to regional legal entity boards
  • Represent APAC requirements as part of the global Treasury leadership team and influence global decision‑making
  • Manage a team of 10+ Treasury professionals
  • Partner with the APAC Commercial leadership to drive long‑term business growth
  • Collaborate with Legal, Underwriting, Risk and other cross‑functional teams across APAC
  • Drive process improvement and optimisation for Treasury, stakeholders and clients
  • Utilise corporate banking & FinTech partners to optimise regional balances, liquidity, and investment revenue
  • Work with FP&A to plan operational and capital investment requirements
  • Oversee multi‑currency processing, settlement and payout, engaging partners for optimal FX execution
  • Manage hedging programmes to mitigate financial and FX risks
  • Oversee day‑to‑day Treasury funding, client settlements and reconciliations
  • Own regional and local banking strategy
  • Input regional requirements into product road‑maps for APAC
About You
  • 15+ years of experience in finance, including Treasury leadership in an international setting
  • Experience working with senior management, sales and a broad range of stakeholders
  • Confidence in synthesising and presenting information to senior audiences
  • Experience in Payments (Acquiring / Issuing) desirable but not required
  • Strong financial modelling and analytics skills
  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker with strong judgment and foresight
  • Track record managing a fast‑growing team with diverse skill sets
  • Experience overseeing controls and mitigating operational and financial risk
