A leading national and regional cancer centre in Singapore is seeking a Diagnostic Radiographer to assist in imaging services. The role includes patient preparation and positioning for radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are produced while adhering to safety and ethical guidelines. Candidates with a degree in Diagnostic Radiography and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Registered or eligible for Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About the Role

The Department of Oncology imaging provide diagnostic imaging services to support patients. You will assist radiographers in patient pre and post procedure preparation and positioning of patients for the radiographic procedures to produce diagnostic quality images for radiological interpretation and reporting with due regard to clinical, ethical and legal responsibility and care to the patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate adequate clinical knowledge to assist in imaging according to radiography protocol under supervision.
  • Position the patient according to radiography protocol.
  • Identify basic anatomy and gross abnormalities.
  • Correlate radiographic examination with clinical history.
  • Able to operate imaging equipment in a safe manner, excluding exposure setting and making radiation exposure on patient.
  • Assist in performing daily quality control.
  • Adhere to imaging safety guidelines to maintain safe practice.
  • Identify and manage image data correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Provide good service to ensure a positive experience for patients in routine situations, ensuring that patient needs are met.
Job Requirements
  • Recognised Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Registered or eligible for Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidates with supervisory experience may be considered for senior position
  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply as on-the-job training will be provided
