Job summary

A leading diagnostic imaging facility in Singapore is seeking a Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, conducting examinations, and maintaining quality assurance for equipment. Candidates should have a Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with angiography is preferred, and full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer.
• Experience in angiography and management of modality areas preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards.
• Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents.>
• Ensure the quality of the recording medium and printed copies of on paper are of optimal quality before releasing to the doctors and.
• Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
• Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
• Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
• Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
• Full-Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
• Experience in angiography and its related fields are preferred.
• Those with previous experience in managing modality areas will be considered for position.
