R&D Lead – Semiconductor Innovation

Our client, a global high-tech enterprise specializing in advanced laser application equipment for the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries, is looking for an R&D professional with an entrepreneurial mindset to help them build new product lines in semiconductor inspection and laser applications.

This role is ideal for someone ambitious, creative, and ready to turn ideas into market-ready products with full backing from the company.

Responsibilities
  • Explore and identify new opportunities in semiconductor inspection or related technologies.
  • Translate concepts into working prototypes and scalable products within 1–2 years.
  • Lead R&D activities across design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to align product development with market needs.
  • Collaborate with external research institutes and technology partners for joint development.
  • Support the creation of intellectual property (patents, know-how) from R&D outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Optoelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience in semiconductor equipment R&D, inspection/metrology, or advanced laser processing.
  • Hands-on experience taking new technologies from concept to productization.
  • Strong technical foundation in semiconductor manufacturing, optics, or laser applications.
