A manufacturing company based in Singapore is seeking an R&D Engineer to lead the engineering of advanced connector assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum diploma in a relevant field, at least 2 years of experience in product engineering, and advanced skills in SolidWorks. Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8.30am – 6pm)

Lead and contribute to the conceptualization and engineering of advanced connector assemblies and associated parts.
Perform technical assessments, choose appropriate materials, and create prototypes for evaluation.
Utilize computer-aided design software (e.g., SolidWorks) for creating 3D models and conducting mechanical analyses.
Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments (Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing) to deliver customized engineering solutions.
Execute product testing and verification aligned with aerospace and harsh environment standards (e.g., MIL-STD, IPC).
Generate comprehensive documentation, including engineering schematics, validation reports, and change control records.
Monitor developments in the industry, including innovations in materials and emerging technologies.
Assist in transitioning new designs into full-scale production and manufacturing workflows.

Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in product engineering, ideally involving connectors, microelectronic devices, or aerospace components.
Advanced skills in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD platforms.
Solid understanding of material properties (e.g., polymers, metals) and fabrication techniques (e.g., injection molding, stamping, overmolding).
Familiar with industry compliance and testing protocols (e.g., MIL-STD, IPC).
Strong analytical thinking and practical skills in building and evaluating prototypes.
