A construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to assist with cost estimation, tender preparations, and manage payments to subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field. Strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure, are essential for this role. Opportunities for growth and advancement abound within the company.
Assist in cost estimation and future tender exercise.
Assist prepare and analyze the cost comparison together with Senior QS.
Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
Obtaining quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
Prepare and administer tender documents and doing costing summary and price comparison.
Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts.
Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments.
Certify and evaluate progress work done, includes contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
Be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.
Perform all other QS-related jobs.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building or its equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in main construction companies
Experience in HDB contracts an advantage
Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Good team player, keen desire to learn, contribute, advance and progress with the company.
