A construction services firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) for cost management and contract administration. The successful candidate will manage tenders related to waterproofing and concrete repairs, evaluate quotations, and assist in contract administration. Ideal candidates should have relevant experience in construction practices, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. This position involves close collaboration with project teams and suppliers.

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for cost management, tendering, contract administration, and commercial negotiation for projects involving waterproofing systems, concrete repair works, epoxy / PU coatings, and repair & redecoration works.
The role requires hands‑on experience in BQ preparation, quotation evaluation, and negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, main contractors, and MCSTs.
Prepare and manage tenders for waterproofing, concrete repair, epoxy/PU coatings, and R&R works
Call, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BQ) based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions
Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, and commercial risks
Assist in contract administration, including progress claims, variations, and final accounts
Support value engineering, tender interviews, and award negotiations
Manage cost control, cashflow forecasts, and claim evaluations
Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers on technical and pricing clarifications
Support post‑award matters including variation pricing, claims, and final accounts
Minimum X years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
Proven experience in waterproofing, concrete repair, spalling rectification, and epoxy / PU coatings
Experience tendering for direct owners / MCSTs and main contractors
Strong knowledge of BQ measurement, tender procedures, and Singapore construction practices
Good negotiation, communication, and commercial risk assessment skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF review tools
Experience with estimating software is an advantage

Reports to Project Manager / Commercial Manager / Director
Works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
