Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore seeks a Quality Control Assistant to support quality management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical laboratory settings, be familiar with statistical quality control, and possess strong leadership skills to manage a team of Laboratory Assistants. Job description

Responsibilities

• Assists QC Manager in classification of final product and reworked lots.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and investigating quality issues, implement improvement from Analysis gap study.
• Monitor in-process samples, liaison with production teams for preventive & corrective actions.
• Prepare activity and progression reports so recurring problems, either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures, can be identified and addressed.
• Monitor the performance of staff, equipment and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency.
• Preparation of quality and budget reports and updates.
• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of Laboratory Assistants who check, test, and inspect raw material, goods in process and finished products.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that team’s resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.

Requirements

• Experience in analytical lab with manufacturing facility, and laboratory testing experience (Wet Chemistry).
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of laboratory equipment such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR, GC, ICP, GC-MS, Antek, KF, IR, UV, Extruder, DSC etc.
• Manual Testing, we do not use automated testing machine.
• Experience required in statistical process control and statistical quality control.
• Experience preferred in polymer testing and analytical techniques.
• Extended knowledge of computers and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, NWA, etc.).
• SAP & LIMS experience preferred.
• Very strong oral and written communication skills.
