Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. In this role, you will ensure the compliance and performance of engineering packages by preparing quality procedures and conducting inspections. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in engineering, at least three years of experience, and relevant ISO certifications. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certified internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, or ISO 45001:2015.
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction And Emergency Training (BOSIET) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit WPS, PQR, and other welding and quality procedures.
  • Document inspection records and testing reports.
  • Perform inspections including fit-up inspections and final checks.
  • Inspect incoming materials for compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate inspection and testing activities.
  • Document and report defects and follow up on corrective actions.

Job description

As a key member of our Quality team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of complex engineering packages from start to finish. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers, customers, and classification bodies, gaining exposure to high-value projects and cutting-edge fabrication processes. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit WPS, PQR, WQT, and other relevant welding and quality procedures, including the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
  • Documenting and filing inspection records, testing reports, fabrication fit-up documents.
  • Perform inspections—including but not limited to fit-up inspections, final visual and dimensional checks, and equipment FAT.
  • Inspect and verify all incoming materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Arrange, coordinate, and monitor inspection and testing activities.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, and follow up corrective actions with the project team to ensure timely rectification prior to release.
  • Coordinate all inspection and testing activities with the Customer, Third Parties, and Classification Societies.
  • Assist in the preparation and compilation of the Final MDR (Manufacturing Data Record) for the package.
  • Supervise site assembly activities related to the package.
  • In addition to the above general responsibilities, the role requires strong technical skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Certified internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and/or ISO 45001:2015
  • CWI (AWS) and/or ASNT Level II certification
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction And Emergency Training (BOSIET) would be an advantage
