Job summary

A leading F&B firm in Singapore is seeking a Purchasing Executive responsible for coordinating with outlet Managers, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory. Job Details
  • Industry/Organization Type: Japanese F&B and retail industry
  • Position Title: Purchasing Executive
  • Working Location: West (Nearest MRT: Clementi)
  • Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday: 9am-6pm)
  • Salary Package: Up to SGD 3600 + Performance Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with and support outlet Managers in ordering products, kitchen equipment, packaging materials, and other supplies
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, stock availability, quality, and favorable terms and conditions
  • Conduct market research to identify and propose new, value-added products and potential suppliers
  • Source alternative products when items are unavailable
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to product quality, shipping, and delivery
  • Coordinate with and assist chefs in ordering salmon and sake
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, including contact details and persons-in-charge
  • Maintain and update inventory records, including stock costs and selling prices
  • Review, update, and implement SOPs for purchasing, ordering, and internal delivery processes
  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to improve inventory control and accuracy
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to ensure timely inventory updates
  • Prepare documentation for stock takes and ensure proper stock take procedures are in place
  • Conduct stock take verification and reconciliation
  • Prepare analytical reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with outlet Managers and the marketing department
  • Travel regularly to outlets as required
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager
Requirements
  • Min. 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain operations (F&B or retail industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and stock take procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
