Role Overview

The Psychologist is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team in our center, contributing expert psychological insights to support whole-person health. This role emphasizes the integration of evidence-based psychological practices within a lifestyle medicine framework. You will play a central role in bridging mental and physical well being, recognizing that emotional well-being, stress management, and social connection are essential to achieving long‑term health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessments
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including assessments, and behavioral screenings
  • Assess for mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, stress‑related disorders, eating disorders and cognitive functioning
  • Integrate findings into individualized care plans in collaboration with medical and allied health professionals
Therapeutic Interventions
  • Deliver evidence‑based psychological therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness‑based interventions) to support mental health and lifestyle behavior change
  • Provide counseling and support for stress management, sleep issues, emotional/disordered eating, substance use and addictions, relationship and family problems, and motivation for health behavior change
Behavior Change Facilitation
  • Work closely with patients to build readiness, set goals, and sustain motivation for adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors (e.g., healthy nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, avoidance of risky substances, positive social connections)
  • Apply principles of motivational interviewing and behavior change theories
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, clinical exercise physiologists, and health coaches to deliver integrated care
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated and patient‑centered care
Program Development & Education
  • Contribute to the delivery of group‑based psychoeducational programs related to mental wellness, stress management, and behavior change
  • Open to public speaking to do mental health workshops
  • Support staff training on mental health and behavioral strategies in lifestyle medicine
Data & Quality Monitoring
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and professional standards
  • Monitor outcomes and contribute to clinic‑wide quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration as Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) under Singapore Psychological Society (SPS)
  • Other registrations with other equivalent international body (e.g., AHPRA) will be good to have
  • At least 1‑2 years of post‑graduate supervised clinical experience, including experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and therapy
  • Strong background in evidence‑based psychological interventions
  • Experience with psychological strategies to support chronic disease management, stress reduction, sleep, physical activity, and nutrition counseling is highly desirable
  • Ability to communicate psychological insights for both patients and team members
  • Good listener and speaker, ability to allow patients feel heard and validated
  • Consistent adherence to confidentiality, boundaries, and professional standards by SPS code of ethics
