Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to prepare project quality plans and conduct inspections for welding processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control procedures and liaise effectively with clients and inspectors, ensuring that all documentation is maintained and compliant with project specifications.

Job Description & Requirements

Prepares the Project Quality plans and Inspection Test plans according to project specifications.

Prepares welding procedure specification and conduct welder qualification tests.

Prepares quality control procedures and repair procedures for welding.

Conducts stage wise inspections like material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting for fabrication and erection works.

Review and witness the non-destructive testing like ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing.

Liaises with Project Managers/Engineers for day-to-day inspection activities at shop/site.

Attends weekly meetings and co-orinate with clients.

Liaises with Client inspectors / third party inspectors.

Maintain good documentation for all the projects on hand.

Assist project teams on QC related issues.

Attend monthly safety committee meetings.
