Job description

Purpose of Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager-Shipbuilding to join our dynamic team.

This pivotal role requires an individual capable of leading shipbuilding projects with a focus on efficiency, quality, and collaboration, contributing to our company's legacy of innovation and excellence in the marine industry.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of shipbuilding projects, from initial planning and design coordination through to construction, testing, and final delivery. This position demands a strong leadership presence to guide multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and manage shipbuilding projects, aligning resources and priorities to meet project goals.
  • Coordinate technical and engineering teams to facilitate seamless integration of design and construction phases.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and budgets, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Foster communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, standards, and company policies throughout all stages of shipbuilding.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to minimize impact on delivery timelines and costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipbuilding processes and enhance quality deliverables.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in managing complex shipbuilding or marine engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, engineering principles, and maritime safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse project teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating clear dialogue with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
  • Possess Certification in Manage WSH In SHIPBUILDING AND SHIP REPAIR
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
