Position: Project Manager (Electrical & ELV Systems)

  • Salary: $5,500 - $7,000 per month
  • Variable Bonus: 15% of annual salary
  • Location: Central Singapore
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Job Overview

The Project Manager (Electrical & ELV Systems) will oversee the complete lifecycle of projects, including Electrical and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems, from design through to project implementation. This role requires direct client engagement, design coordination, and project management to ensure all deliverables meet the required specifications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and seamless delivery of electrical and ELV systems, ensuring technical excellence and providing a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end management of electrical and ELV systems projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client requirements. This includes overseeing the design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover phases.
  • Coordination & Design Oversight: Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design and implementation meet the highest standards and are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Risk, Cost, and Budget Management: Analyze and manage project risks, costs, and budget issues while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Site Management: Perform site inspections, manage installation works, testing, commissioning, and handover of systems to clients.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, managing expectations and facilitating clear communication.
2. Design & Implementation of Electrical & ELV Systems
  • Design & Coordination: Lead the design and execution of various ELV systems, such as:
    ELV, EVC, and Security Systems
    AV/Video Conferencing Systems
    Building Management Systems (BMS), BA, and Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
    ICT & Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
  • System Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant local and international standards, performance, and reliability criteria.
  • Consultant & Tender Management: Manage external consultants in the preparation of detailed design documents and support bid evaluations.
3. Client Liaison & Technical Support
  • Primary Client Interface: Act as the key technical contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with design specifications and resolving issues promptly.
  • Client Engagement: Communicate project progress, handle updates and address escalations to maintain strong client relationships.
4. Standards, Innovation, & Technology
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously update knowledge on developments in ELV systems, building automation, and smart building technologies to recommend innovative solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Project Standardization: Support the development and maintenance of project design standards, ensuring consistency across regional projects.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates with substantial project management or relevant experience may be considered with equivalent qualifications.
  • 8 years of experience in Electrical and ELV system design, implementation, or project fit-out.
    Proven track record in managing the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover.
    Experience working with design consultants, system integrators, and general contractors.
Technical Competence
  • Local Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of local project standards, such as SS / COP, ELV installation practices, system integration, and relevant building codes.
  • System Integration: Experience with coordinating electrical, mechanical, MEP, and ICT services in infrastructure projects.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with BMS, BA, Fire Alarm Systems, and T&C/FAT/SAT documentation standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in HT, LV, ELV systems, ACMV, Fire, and BMS systems is an advantage.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Technical & Quality Oversight
  • Ensure all electrical and ELV works comply with local codes, safety standards, and design specifications.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce workplace safety standards (WSH, risk assessments) and ensure regulatory compliance with bodies such as EMA, BCA, and SCDF in Singapore.
  • Adhere to local regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards.
