A construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage construction plans and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, along with 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry. Candidates must possess strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Develop detailed construction plans and schedules.
Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications.
Monitor, control and coordinate site work with the operations team as well as contractors.
Establish and implement controls to ensure that works are carried out safely according to the work program and produce short-term work plans.
Check the construction drawings and highlight discrepancies.
Ensure that all corrective or preventive action is implemented effectively and quality records are properly maintained.
Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost are in line with the master construction program.
Ensure material submission & approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
At least 8-10 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry
Strong communication, negotiation and planning skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
