ABOUT THE COMPANY

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Event Manager to oversee and drive the strategic development, execution, and growth of our exhibition and conference portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for launching new brands and markets, driving revenue growth, managing key industry relationships, and ensuring projects achieve their commercial, operational, and content goals.

Project Development
  • Lead ideation, concept creation and business case development for new trade brands and exhibition products
  • Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and audience insight analysis to identify new opportunities, trends, gaps and revenue potential.
  • Define product positioning, target segments, pricing strategies, and value propositions for new exhibition launches.
New Business Development
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new leads and opportunities aligned with growth strategies.
  • Drive revenue generation and global exhibitor acquisition through comprehensive sales strategies, including exhibitor and sponsorship campaigns.
  • Lead and manage external agents, ensuring targets are met or exceeded and sales pipelines remain robust.
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across exhibition and sponsorship offerings.
  • Deliver impactful sales and partnership presentations to key senior stakeholders, including corporations, associations, and ecosystem partners.
  • Attend local and international industry events to generate leads, build strategic partnerships, and enhance market visibility.
Project Planning & Execution
  • Manage project lifecycles from concept through launch (from planning and design to delivery and evaluation), ensuring project delivers value to stakeholders, remain on schedule and achieve profitability targets.
  • Create detailed project timelines, resource plans, risk assessments, and escalation pathways.
  • Engage with external key partners from sponsors, exhibitors, service providers, buyers’ group and industry associations to strengthen the portfolio’s reputation and market position.
  • Manage and coordinate internal teams (operations, marketing, sponsorship sales, content) to deliver against agreed milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with the content team to develop market-relevant conference agendas, including high-quality session topics, speaker recruitment, and panel curation, ensuring strong attendee value.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and project teams to ensure seamless event execution while adhering to budgetary and quality standards.
  • Oversee logistical and operational planning to deliver high-quality experiences for exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in the international exhibitions and events industry, with proven track record in selling and managing exhibitions.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior stakeholders, associations, and government entities.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to adapt to market trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and business planning skills.
